Oogly Boogly is an event, a performance, and a game.
It is made with up to eight toddlers of 12–18 months & four performers, and takes place in a soft inflatable tent.
It invites the very young and their parents/carers into a neutral space, free from toys or distractions, where performers follow and amplify the children’s spontaneous activity while the adults observe.
Each session lasts around 45 minutes. Parents and carers stay in the space throughout, as the children get to grips with the fact that they are in the driving seat. In directing their own movement the babies interact with the performers, and an unpredictable but playful free-flow of conversational body language begins.
